German Piano-Duet

This is a German-made concertina with a piano-layout-keyboard.

I don’t know the maker nor the date of birth.

When I got it, the bellows were totally gone - so were some reeds.

So I had her restored by a German Bandoneon-repairer.

The reeds were tuned and fixed and it got a new set of bellows –

the German way, but black and with lots of leather…

The woodwork hasn’t been touched and shows signs of use.

Buttons, levers and reedwork are typical for Bandoneons

( many reeds on one plate ).

It has quite a strong sound – but again typical for German make…

I play piano, so I always wanted to try one of these. I payed far too much for it –

and decided in the end to stick to English System.
